The call to arms

They're nicking the collective mind of everyone.

Look at the data centres going up all over the grid. They're not utilities, they're vaults. Corporations are locking away the future in there, built off our own data, then renting it back to us at whatever price they fancy.

We're sick of being tenants in someone else's reality. Everyone's gone quiet about it, letting them price us out of our own future bit by bit. GPU prices keep climbing. Scarcity gets manufactured on purpose. They want folk stuck paying a subscription just to think a bit faster.

If you don't build your own kit now, you'll never own owt.

Get off the cloud. Pull the plug on their APIs.

Doesn't matter if you've never written a line of code or you've been at this for years. Never touched a soldering iron, never mind. There's a job here for anyone willing to get stuck in. Have a look through the site, there's more detail on all of it.

Where to start

What we're against

The enemy line

Data centre monopolies, manufactured scarcity, surveillance cameras on every corner. Here's the full list of what we're pushing back on.

What we're building

The technical front

Local models, mesh networks, refurbished hardware, build nights. Everything we're putting together instead of moaning about it.

Know where they are

The data centres

568 of them logged across the UK and counting. See where the land, water and power is actually going.

Beyond the screen

Plan of action

Local groups, planning objections, proper protests, backing up other campaigns already fighting this.

Get stuck in

The Sabot code

Coders, hoarders of old GPUs, organisers, complete beginners. There's a way in whatever you've got to offer.
